日常中，我们也可以说“We are just friends."
而短短一句话，总让人遐想万千哦~
而无论是英文还是中文，朋友的界限过于广泛
实际上，朋友还分为很多种类
英文除了“friend"，还有哪些朋友?
今天就一并分享给大家~
No.1 acquaintance 泛泛之交
acquaintance 在英文中表示“认识的人”，你们也许只是打过照面，并没有什么深交或实质性的往来。所以被成为“泛泛之交”。近年来随着朋友圈的兴起，我们又多了一种新类型朋友“点赞之交”。
例：I have a nodding acquaintance with him, but I wouldn"t feel comfortable asking him to help me on this project.
我认识他，但我不想在这个项目上找他帮忙。
No.2 confidant 知己
If you"re a confidante, two things must be true: you have to be female, and you must be someone who people feel comfortable telling secrets to.
confidant可以理解为“闺蜜”“红颜知己”，一般表示女性。一个你可以无话不谈，尽情倾诉的好朋友。去掉“e”以后，则表示男性知己，“蓝颜知己”。
例：How I longed for a confidante while I lived in total fear and loneliness!
在害怕和孤寂中，我多么需要一个知心的人啊!
He was their adviser, confidant and father confessor.
他是他们的顾问、密友和倾听者。
No.3 pal 好友
“pal”在口语中，表示比较要好的朋友。pen pal 表示通过书信往来建立友谊的“笔友”，e-pal或者key-pal,都表示“网友”，e表示email,key表达电脑键盘。我个人很喜欢用这个表达形容朋友。
例：I met a pal of mine later and he suggested that we do a double act.
后来我遇到一个朋友，他建议我们演双簧。
No.4 partner 搭档 合作伙伴
partner通常指生意上的合作伙伴，比赛或任务中的搭档，也可以指伴侣。
例：Wanting other friends doesn"t mean you don"t love your partner.
想交其他朋友并不意味着你不爱你的伴侣。
He is my business partner.
他是我生意上的合伙人。
No.5 ally 同盟
打过王者荣耀的朋友们一定对这个词再熟悉不过了吧!没错，游戏或战场上，ally就是你的“同伴”“同盟”。
例：She described him as a close friend and an ally.
她称他是密友和盟友。
No.6 mate 伙伴
mate也可以表示伙伴，我们熟知的有：“classmate"同学或者“deskmate”同桌。
例：I thought she was an ideal mate.
我认为她是我的理想配偶。
No.7 associate同事；生意伙伴
associate指生意上的合作伙伴或一起工作的人。
例：Jim is one of Tom"s business associates.
吉姆是汤姆的一个生意伙伴。
